Dr Karen graduated from Macquarie University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic. She is trained in Diversified Technique, Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC), Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), Activator Protocol, and Thompson Drop Table Technique.

This gives Dr Karen access to a wide range of assessment and treatment methods, allowing her to identify and address underlying dysfunctions caused by physical and physiological stress and their impact on overall health.

​Meet Dr Josie Barnes 
Chiropractor on the Gold Coast

​My journey in chiropractic began right after high school when I was accepted into an American Chiropractic College--what an incredible experience it was! This laid the foundation for my lifelong passion for health and well-being through chiropractic care. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages--from babies and children to adults and the elderly.

I utilise a wide range of techniques, including Activator, Diversified, Gonstead, IQ Impulse, SOT, and Thompson Drop, to provide both gentle and manual chiropractic care. I believe in the importance of individual assessments, which are crucial to delivering safe, effective, and personalised care.

As I continue to grow and evolve in my practice, I witness daily the profound benefits of chiropractic care. It enables mobility, supports active lifestyles, and promotes overall health--not just for myself, but for all of my patients. I’m truly grateful to be a part of their journey to better health.

As a Myotherapist/Remedial Massage therapist my main goal is to assist my clients by alleviating their musculoskeletal pain and discomfort. I tailor my client’s treatments according to their specific needs whilst also considering their work situation and lifestyle.

Having been a therapist for several years, I remain passionate about the industry. I have always been fascinated by the mind, body connection and more recently vibration and frequency healing through various technologies and remedies. These methodologies encourage the body’s natural healing abilities often adding value to more conventional healing practises.

Working closely with my clients is an honour, one that relies upon open communication, mutual trust and respect that is not to be taken lightly. I pride myself on building a strong rapport with my clients whilst striving towards achieving their desired outcomes.
